This Question should be ringing alarm bells in the heads of all Associates of Africa. Do they really won the ICC Development Awards honestly? Do they Deserve the awards after being discovered and contested on data published in ICC Web page related 2018 census report?
Do Namibia Cricket really got more than 55 thousands participants in 2018 or allegedly around 20 thousand female Participants from about 2.6 million population? Do Namibia Cricket had 70 Turf Pitches and 118 Portable artificial wickets which were for sure imported?
Do Rwanda had total 150 pitches , 66 Turf Wickets and 84 portable Artificial wickets in 2018? Who are the 44 ICC Advance Level Coaches qualified under Rwanda Cricket in 2018? Who conducted the advance level examination and passed 43 Coaches in Rwanda?
I have many more questions but do not want to ask them until they answer above questions about data published by ICC and are in public domain.
I am sure if anybody ask ICC Development officers who decided these 2 countries to win 2019 Development awards? Simple answer : Independent Award Committee. Very democratic and impartial answer.
This reminds me a common legal perception of Criminal Justice System " Laws will take own Course" . But in reality - it is always guided through Police report and Public Prosecutors presentation, never Laws took own course without being directed by Police and Prosecutor.
We really do not know how impartial the Development Department presents report and recommendation to Award Committee to declare the winner? I do not have any direct evidence to doubt integrity but questions automatically arise in our minds after knowing above facts.
